Executive Committee

The Karori Toy Library is managed by an Executive Committee which is made up of volunteers. We meet approximately once every six weeks on a Monday evening at the Toy Library, and it usually involves chocolate, treats and banter, as well as the more official side of things.

We have an Annual General Meeting once a year which is open for anyone to come along to. Details and dates for the AGM are announced on our Facebook page.

Current Vacancies

We are always on the look out for more people to join the committee to help with all sorts of things such as buying, processing, fixing and replacing toys, distributing posters and flyers around the community, occasional fundraising initiatives, general promotion and awareness work and keeping members up-to-date with news and events at the Library.

The following are roles that we're hoping to fill as soon as possible:

  • Partnership & Promotions - Connect with local families and organisations to help promote the Toy Library and grow membership base


No formal training is required to fill these rolls, though a general understanding is always beneficial. If you're a member of the committee you'll get the following perks:

  • Full membership for the price of a basic membership

  • Two free toys for our summer lending programme

  • Not required to carry out the four membership duties per year

  • Get to be part of an awesome team of community volunteers helping out local families!
